Mike was born in Point Pleasant, New Jersey. He has always had a mutual interest in art and nature. He drew constantly as a child. All the other kids would be out playing and he would be inside drawing. His teachers weren't too happy with his added illustrations to the text books, though. It was time to advance as an artist.
His parents signed me up for oil painting classes at around twelve years of age. He then knew that was what he had to do. After high school he signed up for a commercial art course at the vocational school. He later decided to move to Florida and go to the Art Institute of Ft. Lauderdale. After completing the Advertising Design course and receiving an Associate’s Degree Mike realized it wasn't what he wanted to do. He still did commercial freelance work but his heart was still in wildlife painting and illustration. Treated as a hobby for a number of years he's finally able to make money at something he loves. That and a perfect family, how could you go wrong? He considers that the perfect existence. . .
